New Killorglin festival held on 3rd February 2018: An effigy of St Bridget will be paraded through town, where she will be honoured with dance & song.
Throughout Biddy's Day there will be workshops on traditional Irish crafts and lectures from Killorglin History and Folklore Society. K-Fest Spoken Word committee will then host their unique interpretation of ‘Finnegan’s Wake’. This will end just in time for you to witness the parading of the BrideOg. The firelight procession will make its way up through Killorglin town centre and finish in Library Place where the "Judging of the Biddy’s" will happen.
Every pub in town will host their own events with set dancing, traditional music and a meeting of the Brigids is already planned.
