New Killorglin festival held in February.
An effigy of St Bridget will be paraded through town, where she will be honoured with dance & song during the annual parade on Saturday, February 2nd. The firelight procession will make its way up through Killorglin town centre and finish in Library Place where the "Judging of the Biddy’s" will happen.
Throughout Biddy's Day there will be workshops on traditional Irish crafts and lectures from Killorglin History and Folklore Society. .
Killorglin History & Folklore Society will be showing ' The Silver Branch' in The CYMS on Friday, Feburary 1st at 8pm.
Every pub in town will host their own events with set dancing, traditional music and a meeting of the Brigids is already planned.
