There was chaos in Dublin this morning as people tried to travel around the city during the first day of the bus strike.
According to Twitter, trying to get to work this morning in the wind and rain was a bitter experience was some people.
Commuters complained that the bus lanes were still in operation but the Dublin Fire Service confirmed that they rely on bus lanes to get to an emergency.

The train is jammed. Put out regulars mingle with glum faced bus exiles. 'Mingle' as in pressed together like reluctant sardines. #BusStrike
