Some parents are so competitive to win a children's race that they are willing to literally drag their kids over the line in tears.
The photo was taken by local sports photographer Manfred Binder who was covering the Junior Marathon in the Austrian city of Linz.
The race is only 40 meters long and is for children between the ages of three and four. The idea is to encourage "fun with sport and enjoyment from movement" and some parents chose to ignore the race blurb "taking part is everything".
Parents are allowed to run and encourage their kids, but as the picture shows many gave them more than just a hand.
