Although we are in the middle of summer, the weather has been so changeable that it has been hard to plan any family days out.
This week, however, may provide an opportunity to explore the best that Ireland has to offer.
The forecast for the week is mainly dry, with the odd scattered shower in places, of course.
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday will be mostly dry with showers along the Connacht and Ulster coast
On Thursday, although the north is still at risk of showers, the temperature turn a little warmer as the winds switch to the west and later southwest.
Met Eireann are currently predicting "improving conditions for the weekend with temperatures rising and building pressure bringing mainly dry weather'.
