The second 48-hour Dublin Bus strike starts tomorrow morning but, as last week, all services have to stop at 9pm tonight.
A statement from Dublin Bus said this is “to ensure the safe and secure return of buses to each depot prior to the commencement of industrial action”.
The last Dublin Bus will leave the depot at 9pm on Wednesday evening.
Dublin Bus apologised to customers for the distruption which is due to industrial action by all grades of employees.
The strike will affect a number of services including the Airlink and the Nitelink. The services affected are as follows:
- No Dublin Bus routes will operate on Thursday and Friday including sightseeing tours and the Airlink.
- There will be no Nitelink on Friday night / Saturday morning
- There will be a Nitelink service on Saturday night / Sunday morning
- Culture Night shuttle buses on Friday have also been cancelled.
Another 48-hour strike is due to take place next Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th of September unless the dispute is resolved or action is deferred pending any negotiation.
