Applegreen petrol station in Lusk, Co Dublin has run out of petrol after offering a huge discount to celebrate being the shop that sold the winning ticket in this week's EuroMillions lottery.

It was confirmed earlier today that the ticket that won the €88.5 EuroMillions lottery was sold in the store off the M1 Motorway and the station decided to sell petrol and diesel for just 88.5c.

However, the special offer did not last long as they ran out of fuel just before midday.
