The Fire Brigade advised all bike users to wear helmets after a bike collided with a taxi in Dublin city centre yesterday.
The cyclist had a lucky escape after the crash which ended with a bicycle trapped under a taxi.
It was reported that the cyclist was thrown clear from the collision but still received injuries to their leg.
The Fire Brigade advised the outcome could have "been so much worse. Remember to always wear a helmet".
