A four-year-old boy managed to call emergency services after finding his mother unconscious by using the Siri function on her smartphone.

When his mother wouldn’t wake up the four-year-old named Roman used the Siri function on his mother's phone to ask for help.

It is not known if it automatically called the emergency services or if Roman asked for the 999 call to be made.

He told the call handler that his mother was dead because “she’s closing her eyes and she’s not breathing”.

After being able to provide an address, help arrived at this house within thirteen minutes where paramedics found his mother unconscious on the floor.

She received treatment from paramedics and was brought to hospital after regaining consciousness at home.

Metro report that Chief Superintendent Ade Adelekan said "If you do nothing else today, then I’d implore any parents of young children to sit down with them and make sure they know what to do in this kind of situation.

As this case demonstrates so poignantly, it could really be the difference between life and death.
