Ireland has a new multi-millionaire after one ticket-holder won the Euromillions lottery.

The jackpot was scooped by matching five numbers and two stars.

The winning numbers were 11, 20, 35, 37, 45 - with Lucky Stars 3 & 6.

The National Lottery announced that there was only one winner, based in Ireland. However, no more details are known at this stage.

This will be the country’s eleventh win since the European lottery was first launched in 2004.

In January, one Irish winner scooped a whopping €88,587,275 with a ticket that was sold just off the M1 motorway, in a petrol station near Lusk, Co. Dublin.

Last summer, a syndicate of Dublin Bus drivers shared €23,845,060.
