A petrol station will be dropping its prices to 61c per litre tomorrow.
Topaz in Athlone is celebrating selling one of the winning tickets in last weekend's Lotto Jackpot by dropping their prices – but there is a catch.
The winning ticket was one of two that shared the €12.3 million prize.
Each ticket was worth €6,172,404 or €6.1 million and Topaz will charge just 61c per litre tomorrow, with the offer available for just 61 minutes from 1.06pm on Tuesday, May 9.
Joanne D’Arcy, Topaz Director of Retail Operations, said: “We are delighted to have sold a winning ticket to a lucky customer at our Athlone service station, and are even more delighted to celebrate this win by dropping our fuel prices to just 61c per litre for a limited time on Tuesday, 9th May 2017.
Chief Executive of the National Lottery, Dermot Griffin, said: “We are thrilled that the Saturday Lotto Jackpot of €12.3 million has been won and shared between the Midlands and the North West. We are delighted for Topaz that it sold one of the winning tickets and it is good to see them celebrating by giving back to their customers in the Westmeath area.
This isn’t the first time an Irish petrol dropped their prices after a big win
In January, the Applegreen Service Station in Lusk offered customers petrol for only 88.5 cents to celebrate selling the winning ticket in a €88.5 million EuroMillions jackpot.
However, the deal didn't last long as they ran out of fuel before midday.
