Never go into labour and text!

Deorick Williams just woke from a nap and, slightly disorientated having just returned from a trip out of town, responded to a group message on his phone about a "friend" going into labour.

Not thinking, he got dressed to visit the hospital, before a second message showed a photograph and Deorick realised that he didn't know the new parents.

Undeterred by the misunderstanding, Deorick and his brother Denis continued with the visit, much to the delight of the family of Mark and Lindsey.

The brothers arrived with gifts for the baby and the family were delighted with the random act of kindness.

"I accidentally [sent] a message about Mark and Lindsey having a baby to a number I had in my phone for someone else which now belongs to Mr. Dennis Williams and he and his brother came by to visit us and brought the baby a gift!” Teresa Lashley wrote on Facebook.
