Two Irish tourists and seven Britons were among twenty four people injured when a coach crashed on it's way to Barcelona airport
The crash happened during heavy rain at 3.10am this morning. The Guardian reports that among the injured are tourists from Ireland, Britain, Spain, Poland, Germany, Belarus and Lithuania.
The coach departed from the coastal holiday resort of Lloret de Mar, north of Barcelona city and was travelling to the main El Prat airport.
The local police in Barcelona told The Spain Report that it was still too early to be sure of the causes of the bus crash but that it had likely been raining at the time.
The coach driver is among the casualties.
