Ireland's Taoiseach Enda Kenny was in the city of Philadelphia for their St. Patrick's Day parade yesterday and helped explain to the US media how to pronounce his title.
Around 20,000 people took part in the yesterday's parade with thousands more watching along the route. It is reported that this was the 245th annual parade with the first celebration taking place in the city in 1771.
Mr. Kenny was in the US as part of the annual St. Patrick's Day visit to Washington and was asked by a local television reporter how to pronounce 'Taoiseach'.
The former primary school teacher replied with a lesson in jolly phonics
Mr. Kenny is scheduled to meet new US President Donald Trump in the White House on Friday.
