It's the time of year when our favourite Christmas adverts start appearing and none is more anticipated than the traditional John Lewis sentimental tear-jerker.
This week, the internet went crazy when what appeared to be an early release was published on youtube. The advert received an incredible response from people believing it to be the the real Christmas advert from the department chain. It tells the story of snowman trapped inside a snow globe.
However, the advert was actually uploaded in June as part of student Nick Jablonka's A-level project.
"This definitely isn't the official John Lewis advert," Nick says in the caption of the YouTube video. "Although I really appreciate the overwhelming comments, I do believe this piece could do with a lot of work as it was done in around 2 weeks from start to finish."
However, W Communications were so impressed with the advert that they have offered him a full time position.
Director of the agency, Sophie Raine, told the Mirror: “Advertising agencies are paid billions by brands to try and replicate exactly what Nick, aged 17, has managed to do with his fake John Lewis ad.
