Weather to remain mainly dry but changeable during the week

The latest forecast suggests that the current period of unsettled weather will continue through to next weekend.

Met Eireann reports that the week will feature a lot of dry weather and normal temperatures for the month.

Tomorrow, Monday, will have some bright or sunny breaks but will be cloudy in many areas with showers starting in the south and spreading northwards. 

Tuesday will be mostly cloudy with outbreaks of rain across the south. The rain will be mainly across south Munster while the rest of the country will remain dry.

Wednesday will be bright and dry across the country with varying cloud and warm sunny spells. Thursday will also be dry throughout most of the country, although there will be rain in the north and west in the afternoon.

Early indications are that Friday and the rest of the weekend will generally remain cloudy with rain and showers at times, but with some sunny spells too.
