Cork Chocolate Festival & Baking World
The Cork Chocolate Festival & Baking World will take place at the Cork International Hotel on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th of November 2017. The event will take place on both days from 11 am to 5.30 pm.
The 2-day event which is being hosted in association with La Rousse Foods, Taste Cork & the Cork County Council is the inaugural Chocolate Festival in Cork and the only one of it's kind in Ireland.
The weekend will feature a variety of events and the main exhibition area will have chocolatiers from all over Ireland displaying and selling the best of Chocolate, there will be Chocolate workshops & talks, discussing the bean to bar process and Cookery Demonstrations from amazing chefs, bakers and chocolatiers.
The theme will be Willie Wonka & The Chocolate Factory and Willie Wonka and the Oompa Loompa's might even make a very special appearance over the weekend event.
Tickets are €5 for entry into the exhibition area and children under 12 are FREE to attend. N.B. - Please note that a maximum of 2 children will be permitted with every 1 adult. The Children's Zone is on from 11am-2pm so we would advise that after 2pm, the Cork Chocolate Festival, will be an adult event.
There are a multiple of other events taking place during the weekend including a cookery demonstration with Mr Paul Kelly, Judge of the Great Irish Bake Off & Executive Pastry Chef of the Merrion Hotel (tickets for this demonstration will be sold separately).
There will be a Wine & Chocolate tasting event with Classic Drinks & Milsean Chocolate taking place on the Friday evening from 7.30pm. You will get to taste a selection of wines and we will pair the wines with chocolate. Tickets for the wine and chocolate tasting are €25 per person and, due to the nature of this event, tickets are very limited.
There will also be an incredible Chocolate Themed Dinner on the evening of Saturday 25th November 2017. We have some amazing chefs on board to create each dish that will contain Cocoa. The dinner will be paired with matching wines. Michelin Pastry Chef, Mr Paul Kelly, will be doing the dessert for guests on that evening. Tickets for this dinner are priced at €70 for dinner and wine.
