Ballinrobe Festival

Ballinrobe will come alive from 19 to 27 July as the town hosts its much-loved nine-day summer celebration, packed with live music, family fun and community spirit. From throwback concerts in Cornmarket to traditional music sessions, sports, pageantry and more, this year’s festival promises something for everyone. The festivities begin on Saturday 19 July with a lively Bruce Springsteen tribute in Cornmarket, marking a nostalgic return to the venue’s Beat on the Street roots. The following day, the area plays host to a Tradfest full of music, culture and activities, setting the tone for a vibrant week. Families can look forward to a special race day at Ballinrobe Racecourse on Monday 21 July, followed by the ever-popular Race Dance on Tuesday featuring country music favourite Mike Denver under the marquee. More music follows with Cailíní Lua and Ruaile Buaile on Friday 25 July, before the streets come alive on Saturday 26 July as Oasis tribute band Live Forever takes over Abbey Street for a high-energy night of singalongs and nostalgia. Festival highlights also include cinema night at Ballinrobe Library, guided heritage walks, a family sports day and more, with hopes of a funfair bringing extra colour to the town. The celebrations culminate on Sunday 27 July with the crowning of the Queen of the Lakes 2025 – a local tradition that brings the entire community together in a joyful finale. With a warm welcome, packed programme and great music...
