A selection of things to do in Ireland over Easter.

Epic, The Irish Emigration Museum, Dublin

Join in the arts and crafts sessions that take inspiration from the Creating & Design galleries at the museum. The fun workshops lasts for 1 hour and children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times.  Bags of Creativity, for 9-13 year olds, replicates their designs onto tote bags that they’ll be able to bring home. Eggcellent Little Artists is where 4-8 year olds will design some Spring hanging decorations and colourful Easter cards.

Tickets for the workshops are valid for one child admission to our museum and take place on Tuesday 27th, Wednesday 28th, Thursday 29th, Thursday 5th and Friday 6th.

All family tickets over the Easter break also include entry to a fun scavenger hunt! Work together to follow the clues scattered around the museum’s vaults. At the end of the hunt, participants will receive a lovely Easter treat.

Big Family Picnic at An Creagán

To mark the beginning of Spring the annual event invites familes to enjoy a fun-filled day out in the great outdoors on Easter Monday from noon to 4.00pm.

National Museums of Ireland

The National Museums have lots of activities scheduled for the Easter holidays.

The ​Natural History Museum​ ​has Jamie's Eggcellent Birds on Wednesday 29th from 11am - 1pm. Touch real bird eggs and feathers during this drop-in session with bird expert, Jamie Durrant! No booking required but there may be short waiting time. Not wheelchair accessible.

​On Easter Sunday, the National Museum of Country Life in Turlough Park​​​ wants to know 'Are you an April Fool?' Take the April Fool's challenge and explore the Museum's collection with our fun family trail. Can you figure out what is true and what is false?

On April 5th, you can explore two Museums in one day​ ​​in the Ancient Egyptian Animal Adventure​. ​​​​​Start at the Museum of Natural History on Merrion Street​ at 11am, and come face to face with the animals of Africa. ​Then head over to the Museum of Archaeology on Kildare Street​ and complete the trail with ancient Egyptian animal gods!

Wells House, Wexford

On Easter Saturday, there are Easter Puppet Shows by Red Moon Theatre! Take in the fresh air and enjoy some theatrical fun as our puppets go on an eggciting adventure!

Kids get egg-static for their annual Easter Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday while the parents enjoy live music & barbecue on the terrace.  On Easter Monday, Electric Zoo are back with some FREE furry fun and a yummy barbecue!

Easter at Croke Park

One of Dublin's most popular attractions, the Croke Park Stadium Tour, has an ‘egg’cellent twist for families over the Easter break!

The fantastic ‘eggs’perience will include an access-all-areas guided stadium tour, combined with an Easter Egg Hunt, all rounded off with a visit of the GAA Museum!

Aquazone at the National Aquatic Centre

Aquazone is open every day over the Easter Holidays. The National Sports Campus also run multi-sport camps over four days from March 26th to March 29th and April 3rd to April 6th. You might be training alongside an Irish Olympian!

Huckleberry's Den

There is an Easter Fun Day this Saturday with lots of activities including an Easter Egg Treasure Hunt (beginning at 10am sharp!), Lego Building, Arts & Crafts, Face Painting, Balloon Modelling, a Teddy Bear Picnic, a disco and lots more.

Funderland, Cork

The Easter tradition continues at Creamfields on the Tramore Road throughout the holidays with thrills and spills suitable for the whole family, regardless of your age or of leve of adventure.

Easter at Westport House, Mayo

Westport House re-open their doors this weekend for what is set to be two weeks of lots of family fun!

The Pirate Adventure Park will open from 11:00am to 18:00pm from the 24th of March to the 8th of April and the House is open every day too. They have also planned their annual egg hunt which promises lots of fun for all the family on Easter Sunday.

National Wax Museum Plus, Dublin

The National Wax Museum Plus is an exciting interactive visitor attraction located in the heart of Dublin's city centre in their new location on Westmoreland Street.

It offers a museum experience unlike any other, whether you are young or old, a culture vulture or fun seeker and, over the Easter weekend, children who find all the hidden Easter bunnies can collect a free egg!

Easter Camp at Fota Wildlife Park​, Cork

The ​popular ​camps run from 10 am - 3 pm daily ​from April 4th-6th ​with different activities daily ranging from Easter arts and crafts, exclusive guided tours and exploring the springtime woodlands.

Clonfert Pef Farm Easter Egg Hunt, Kildare

Clonfert Pet Farm will host their annual Easter egg hunt over the Easter Weekend with lots of fun with the Easter Bunny and all his friends. Normal admission applies with an extra €2 to participate in the hunt and win an egg!

Easter Bunny Trail @ Cork City Gaol

Visit Cork City Gaol between Monday, 2nd April and Friday, 6th April for some family fun. Children will be invited to find all the Easter Bunnies throughout the Gaol to win a small prize.

Visitors can continue to enjoy the self-guided tour – either by Guide Book or Audio-Guide.  Normal admission rates apply.

Tom Duffy's Circus​

​Following the success of last year's nerve-wracking show, Tom Duffy's circus return this month with shows in ​​Longford, Carrick-on-Shannon and Cavan over Easter.

Celebrate a fun-filled Easter at Brigit's Garden annual family Easter Hunt!

Turoe Pet Farm in Loughrea welcomes back the “Easter Bunny” regardless of the weather this Easter Saturday Sunday & Monday.

Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt, Dublin

Barnardos are delighted to once again partner with the Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt bringing eggcitement and joy to children and families this Easter weekend.

Mysterious Easter Hunt, Cork

The Easter bunnies have broken into their egg store and stolen the eggs at the Toy Soldier Factory in Macroom. They need help on Thursday 29th and Friday 30th to capture the culprits.

To be part of this forensic team you must first Make & Paint your own bunny so they can join you in solving the case. Find the thief and win an egg.

Secret Garden Trail, Roscommon

Celebrate Easter with us in the idyllic setting of​ ​Strokestown Park House​ ​walled gardens at 1pm on Easter Sunday, 1st April.​ ​Families will search through the clues in the nooks and crannies of the garden to receive the chocolate egg treasure.

There is also a Custard Pie Puppet Show and a visit the spring lambs before catching the parade ​the​ ​v​illage at 3pm.

Kia Ora Farm Mini Farm, Wexford

The popular farm outside Gorey is open every day over the holidays but will ​has some Easter Madness ​planned for the weekend.

Meet the Easter Bunny, Fireman Sam and the Minion; join in the Wacky Races such as sack races, bean bag, backward races and even ​f​eed the lambs. There will also be Balloon Blaster, free glitter tattoos​ and​ a colouring competition.

Easter Family Fun Weekend​, Meath

A weekend of fun returns to​ ​the Irish Military War Museum with Superbounce​ ​from Friday 30th of March - Monday 2nd of April

Each three-hour long session includes a treasure hunt, Easter Egg for every child, admission to Bouncy Castle Park (which has the largest obstacle course in the country), admission into the Play & Create Room with LEGO BRICKX, Arts & Crafts and lots more. Booking in advance is required for children but adults go free.

Imaginosity, Harry Potter Easter Camp​, Dublin

Imaginosity​, Dublin's Children's Museum also run Easter camps​ for 4-6 and 7-9 year olds​. The second week camp from April 2nd to 6th will be especially popular with Harry Potter, Hermione and Ron Weasley's ​fans as it's a ​Hogwarts School of Witchcraft & Wizardry Camp. 

This magical wizarding week will be jam packed with Harry Potter themed games, challenges, arts & crafts, wand making and potion classes​​.​

Dusty’s Giant Easter Duck Hunt at Castle Espie Wetland Centre
