Doyle’s Equestrian Centre is an approved facility on the Carlow/Wicklow border in the little village of Rathvilly. It is situated in possibly the most scenic part of Carlow, where the county’s rolling hills meet the Wicklow mountains. There are many historic sites in the area, including the Haroldstown and Moate dolmens, both of which are within riding distance of the establishment. Glendalough, with its 6th century Christian monastic settlement and round tower, lies a short drive to the north. If it’s action and adventure you’re into, there’s lots of it to be had at Doyle’s Equestrian. In all horse riding lessons at Doyle's Equestrian Centre safety is paramount and, for this reason, all riders are accessed before they mount and while mounted. The lessons are divided into various levels allowing all our clients to progress at their own pace. Children's Group All riders within the lesson are of an equal level of competence. 1/2 hr. Tot Lesson These Half hour lessons are an ideal way of introducing children to everything horsey. Adult Group Adult Group horse riding lessons all level specific and all riders within the lesson are of an equal level of competence. Private Lesson Private Horse riding lessons are held on a one to one basis, each lesson is tailored to suit the needs of the individual rider. Hacking Our Hacks ride out over the scenic and historic Lisnavagh Estate and Gardens, with its mature woodland, winding estate roadways and rolling fields there is something for everyone. Pony camps take place during all school holiday Children’s Pony camps are Equestrian Activity Camps which give children the opportunity to take part in a wide range of equestrian Activities. The camp runs from Wednesday morning until Friday evening, the days are fun filled and there’s learning galore. The Camps are fully supervised by caring and qualified staff and are divided into groups according to age and ability. The activities are weather independent with a complete indoor facility. The camp gives the Children the opportunity to have fun and develop their horse riding skills and not to mention make new friends. Pony camp starts at 10 am and runs until 5 PM each day. Each child must bring their own lunch and a be suitably dressed for the weather. School Tours Doyle's equestrian Centre offers a fun safe environment for children to earn and enjoy horses.
