Welcome to Ballymaloe House, the renowned Irish country house hotel and restaurant owned and run by the Allen family for over 50 years.
It all started when Mrs. Myrtle Allen invited guests to 'Dine in an Irish Country House' and opened the Yeats Room restaurant in her family home serving fresh seasonal produce from her husband Ivan's 300-acre farmland.
Ballymaloe House is still run by the Allen family. Myrtle Allen's philosophy for using natural ingredients from the farm and local area continues to earn Ballymaloe House and related Ballymaloe businesses world recognition as the best places for food in Ireland.
Ballymaloe House, its walled garden, parklands and woodlands are a unique and hugely diverse location. Its many functional outbuildings and variety of garden spaces are ideal for everything from short breaks away, family holidays or corporate events, team building activities and seminars.
Ballymaloe House is located 35km outside Cork city (40 minutes from Cork airport). 12km from Midleton, the home of Jameson Whiskey, and 5 minutes from the picturesque fishing village of Ballycotton.
The Ballymaloe Cookery School and gardens is 4km from Ballymaloe House (cookery demonstrations or private tours of the school and gardens can be organised on request).
