The Hazel House is an Irish craft shop, café and woodwork school set in the beautiful surroundings of Tibradden in the Dublin Mountains.
Long ago, The Hazel House was a working farm and we still have lots on animals including a donkey, miniature pony, sheep, ducks & hens!
The Hazel House School Tours
Teachers, take your class on a very special school tour this summer! Meet The Hazel House animals. Enjoy a picnic outside. Take a stroll up Tibradden Mountain to see the trees, plants and wildlife. And at the end of the day, take home your very own wooden craft.
The Hazel House Mountain Walks & Lunch
Join us on the last Saturday of every month for a brisk mountain walk in Tibradden followed by a delicious lunch in The Hazel House. Includes any sandwich from our menu and a tea or coffee.
We will meet in The Hazel House at 10am and the walk will be approximately two hours, followed by lunch in The Hazel House. Please wear warm clothes and comfortable walking shoes. Dogs on leads and kids are welcome.
The Hazel House Kids Parties
A completely unique venue for you little one's special day. We can tailor your party to tie in with the interests of the birthday boy / girl.
Kids Party Package €15 per child
- Two hours at The Hazel House (1 hour activity, 30mins meeting & feeding the animals, 30mins for food)
- Private use of The Hazel House cabin
- Party bag

- €15 p/p based on a minimum of ten kids & a maximum of 20 kids
Choose from one of two activities
Woodwork Party with Niall (available all week)
The kids will get to see a real wood workshop and learn about different types of trees, wood and how The Hazel House furniture and wooden crafts are made. Each child gets to make a special personalised item (e.g. fairy doors or nameplates) in The Hazel House Work With Wood Workshop which they can take this home with them when they are finished.
Papercraft Party with Fionnuala (available weekend afternoons)
Fionnuala will make help the kids make papercrafts that tie in with your child's interests. We can make fairy wands, pirate swords, animal masks and everything in between. Obsessed with Frozen? We can make Frozen crowns! Love the minions? What about minion masks? Let us know what your child likes and we will do our best to accommodate it! The children go home with all their creations.
