The Ballymaloe Festival of Food returns to East Cork this May for a three-day celebration of Irish food, seasonal cooking, local producers and family experiences. One of Ireland’s best-known food festivals, the event brings together chefs, growers, food writers and visitors for a packed weekend of demonstrations, talks, workshops and tastings across Ballymaloe.
Families visiting the festival can enjoy a strong programme of food and hands-on activities throughout the weekend, including children’s cooking classes at the Cool Food School, interactive workshops and outdoor demonstrations. Walks, talks and family-friendly events take place across the grounds, alongside live music and open-air entertainment throughout the day.
The festival also features cookery demonstrations and appearances from well-known chefs including Darina Allen, Kevin Dundon, Catherine Fulvio, Rory O’Connell and Thomasina Miers, alongside food discussions, garden tours, tastings and pop-up dining experiences.
Running from Friday 15th to Sunday 17th May, the Ballymaloe Festival of Food combines local produce, cooking, music and outdoor events into a busy weekend in the East Cork countryside. Children under 14 receive free entry to the festival.
