Carnival of Science

Cork’s Fitzgerald Park is set to transform into a science super-park on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th June, as Cork’s Carnival of Science comes to town. The Cork Carnival of Science 2025 returns to Fitzgerald Park for a spectacular weekend of free family fun, transforming the popular city park into Ireland’s largest outdoor science festival. Taking place on Saturday and Sunday, this hands-on celebration of science, technology and discovery is packed with live shows, experiments and entertainment for all ages. With more than 40 participating organisations, the carnival features a wide range of interactive STEM zones, workshops and performances designed to make learning exciting and accessible. Families can explore bubbling chemistry, flying physics and digital technology through exhibits from some of Ireland’s leading universities, researchers and outreach groups.
