Cork Folk Festival
The Cork Folk Festival takes place from the 28th Sept to 1st October 2017
Ireland’s southern capital once again will host a spectacular for a four-day music event, packed with Ireland's finest traditional musicians, dancers and singers.
The festival happens in all of the city’s finest venues including the Everyman Palace and Triskel Christchurch.
Founded in 1979, it has become one of the most exciting folk and traditional music events in the country.
The line up will feature Donovan a legendary songwriter from 60’s to the newest bands on the scene like Torcán from Cork and Na Mooneys from Donegal and a performance by Andy Irvine, formerly of Planxty and Sweeney’s Men, as he is joined by Donegal sisters Tríona and Maighread Ní Dhomhnaill.
Alongside the brilliant performances, there are lectures, workshops, children's events and set dancing to be had.
