About Castle Grove Country House
Castle Grove is the ideal location if you want to explore Donegal, play golf, immerse yourself in history or simply get away from it all and relax.
The extensive gardens were designed by Lancelot "Capability" Brown, the same gardener that designed for Hampton Court and Highclere Castle, the setting for Downton Abbey.
Our large walled garden, built in the famine years, provides organically grown fruits, herbs and vegetables for our restaurant, and cut flowers for decorating the house.
The variety, quality and taste of our wonderful produce all go to benefit the seasonal dishes we offer in our award winning restaurant.
