Rocsommon Arts Centre

Roscommon Arts Centre is a vibrant, purpose-built arts space, which is committed to presenting a dynamic and ambitious multi-disciplinary programme of events that creates and develops audiences for the arts and contributes to local arts development in County Roscommon.

We provide opportunities for the local community to actively engage with a range of artforms through participatory and performance-based activities. The centre presents work by professional and community based artists in theatre, dance, music, comedy and literature, along with a programme of Irish and world cinema in the auditorium space.

Roscommon Arts Centre recognises and supports the artist’s role as being central to the artistic process and we wish to develop our support to artists at all stages of their careers through increased opportunities at the centre.

Box Office Opening Hours

Tuesday – Friday: 10am – 5pm
Saturays: 2pm – 5pm on performance days only

On Performance Evenings: 7.15pm – 8.30pm

Directions

From Road

From Dublin the journey time is approximately 2 hours. Travel the M4 motorway to Athlone. Take the Rsocommon exit and travel along the N61 to Roscomon town. At the first roundabout take the 3rd exit. Roscommon Arts Centre is located on the right, after the fire station.

From Galway the journey time is approximately 1 & 1/2 hours. Take the N17 Tuam/Sligo exit passing through Claregalway. Take the N63 to Roscommon. At the first roundabout take the 3rd exit. At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit. At the Athlone Road roundabout take the 2nd exit. Roscommon Arts Centre is located on the right after the fire station.

From Sligo the journey time is approximately 1 hour. Travel the N4 to Boyle and then the N61 to Roscommon. At the first roundabout take the 1st exit. At the next roundabout take the 3rd exit. Roscommon Arts Centre is located on the left.
