Welcome to our fantastic Sheep Shed Activity Barn with under-cover activities for children of all ages. It contains Wicklow’s largest indoor beach. Children dig for Ireland in this area!

In the Activity Barn we also have Chess, Draughts, a large Connect 4, a kids kitchen, ping pong table, fuze ball table, basket ball, ring on the hoop and lots more.

Adults are able to have a cup of tea or coffee in this area and relax while the kids play away, this is a very safe area. Endless hours of fun can be had in the Activity Barn by everyone and it is a great day out for all the family.

Our Animal Walkway has been with us since day one of the opening of our shop, we have a lovely selection of animals that you are able to pet, touch, feel and talk too.

Katie and Maple are out two donkeys and live in the same pen as Chrissie the Llama. Chrissie is full of personality and if he doesn’t like you he might spit at you!

Dove and PJ are out two miniature ponies, and they like the rub on the neck, Lennie and Prunella are our pot belly pigs and will come over to you if you give them a shout. Bell and Beau are our two white kid goats and have their own claim to fame as they won a photography competition on the Farmers Journal during the summer!

The lovely Kerry Cows are very much part of the farm here, we have over 20 heads of cattle in the place and its great to see a dying breed of cattle revived.

Rebecca’s Grandfather was the first man to import Dorset Horn sheep into Ireland in the 1930’s. Two of the sheep we have here are from the original Finchogue Flock.

The barn is open Tuesday to Saturday from 9.30pm till 5pm and on Sunday’s from 11.30am till 5pm. The price per child is €5.00.

Please note that children must be under adult supervision during their visit to the Activity Barn.

Tinahely Farm also offer a very special shopping experience, with a huge range of unique giftware.

You will also find the very best of Irish homestyle cooking and above all the opportunity to spend a memorable family fun day enjoying all the sights and sounds of an Irish farm…

We visited Tinahealy Farm yesterday for the first time with our four young children aged 8/7/4/1. We had arranged to meet up with friends and their three children, similar ages. I would highly recommend it to anyone to visit. There is something for everyone. The vintage decor, amazing foods, lots of healthy options. A more than impressive farm shop to bring home some local grown or homemade produce. The activity centre is genius, as it is weather proof. The children played away happily and we had an opportunity to have a coffee in peace and catch up. After lunch we walked around the pet farm, the children totally smitten with the animals. We found the staff to be kind and friendly as it can be daunting bringing seven kids into a restaurant!! The atmosphere was chilled out and relaxed, with no pressure to leave. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a lovely Sunday!
