Newly opened in 2016 the Michael Collins Museum in Clonakility is located in a wonderfully restored Georgian Building at No 7 Emmett Square. The museum tells the story of Ireland's struggle for independence focusing on Tadgh an Asna, Ó Donovan Rossa & of course Michael Collins. As well as a number of displays there is a audio visual rooM and gift shop. The museum is open Saturday 10-5 & Sunday 12-5pm and five days a week from June. History buffs will be interested in visiting Michael Collins Birthplace at Woodford near Lisavaird
