The Inishbofin Arts Festival returns for the May bank holiday weekend, offering a varied programme of music, theatre, visual arts and workshops set across the island. The festival opens on Friday evening with the launch of the arts exhibition, followed by a live concert featuring The Kilkennys.
Across Saturday, the programme includes weaving and drumming workshops, spoken word performances and a theatre production of Paddy: The Life & Times of Paddy Armstrong. The evening continues with a headline concert from Paddy Casey, supported by Cedar Dobson.
Sunday’s programme includes a felt art workshop, followed by a circus skills and puppet show suitable for families at Inishbofin National School. An afternoon concert takes place at St. Colman’s Church, alongside additional events across the island, before the festival closes with a headline performance from The Byrne Brothers.
Events take place across venues including the Community Centre, local hotels, the national school and church, creating a full weekend of activity across the island.
